Please help me raise funds for Bike Works!

Serving on the board for the past few years I have seen how impactful Bike Works has been on the South Seattle community. In the midst of a pandemic, they adapted and continued to serve the community’s need for bicycles and repairs. Now coming out of the pandemic they are stronger. There are many reasons to support Bike Works including the  presence in local high schools like Franklin, Rainier Beach, Sugiyama, and Cleveland. I particularly like their recycle and reuse mission. Did you know that they recently brought a truckload of bike tires down to Portland to be recycled instead of adding them to our local landfill?  In addition, support from people like you and me allows the development of new partnerships that focus on serving female-identified BIPOC youth or outdoor access for people with challenged mobility issues.

Camp and I will be celebrating with Bike Works at their annual Bikecitement fundraising event today. I know many of you were unable to join us but you can still support Bike Works mission.

Thanks for your consideration!

Bike Works' mission is to promote the bicycle as a vehicle for change to empower youth and build resilient communities. Our vision is: Mobilized people. Thriving communities. Healthy planet. We were founded in 1996 by grassroots activists who were committed to increasing access to alternative transportation, investing in young people, and pushing for environmental justice in Southeast Seattle, a region historically underserved by transit, road safety planning, and cycling infrastructure. Help us build a more diverse and accessible cycling community!
